Mayor's Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement

AmplifyGSA Youth Summit

When: May 21, *9 AM - 4 PM

(*Best speaking times: 10am or 12:30pm)

Where: Boston Arts Academy - 174 Ipswich St Boston, MA 02215

Why: Mayor Michelle Wu and the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement present Amplify GSA to promote, support, and protect Genders and Sexualities Alliances (GSA) in Boston schools.

Pride Kickoff

When: 4pm June 1

Where: City Hall Plaza

Why: The City of Boston and Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement will be celebrating National LGBTQ+ Pride month by hosting, supporting, and amplifying events that serve the local Queer community. Join us on Thursday, June 1 at City Hall Plaza from 4pm to kickoff Pride month with a flag raising, performances, and Portraits of Pride unveiling!

Trans Resistance

Trans Resistance March & Festival

When: June 3

Where: Boston, Pierpont Rd, Boston, MA 02119

Why:Trans Resistance was formed in June 2020 by a collective of trans and queer activists in the Boston area who built upon years of contention with the Boston Pride board for being trans-exclusionary in their process, vision, and work and failing to equitably represent the magical TQBIPOC community in Boston.

Boston Pride for the People

Boston Pride for the People Parade and Festival

When: June 10

Where: Parade Formation Area: Parade formation takes place in Copley Square in Boston. Specifically: Boylston Street, from Clarendon to Massachusetts Avenue.

Festival area: Boston Commons - Beacon and Park St.

Why: Commemorate the brave LGBTQ+ people who risked their safety to advocate for the lives and humanity of LGBTQ+ people, to celebrate the richness and complexity of LGBTQ+ community, and to continue to advocate for equity and inclusion for LGBTQ+ people, especially those who face intersecting forms of oppression.

Boston Theater Company

Road of Rainbows 5K

When: June 10

Where: Starting area - Boston Common Bandstand Boston, MA US 02116

Why: The Road of Rainbows - 3rd annual, hosted by Boston Theater Company. The 1st of its kind in Massachusetts where gender has no bounds. The Road of Rainbows is an inclusive event that is as much about running as it is about showing off inner unicorns. All genders are welcome! For all LGBTQ+ folks and supporters!
